airBaltic Top 10 Innovative Airline

airBaltic, the Latvian national airline, has recently been chosen as one of the world’s top 10 airlines for innovation. The list was released recently by Airlinetrends.com, which is an independent consumer market research agency. This is for their amazing ideas such as having roses available to purchase on board, iPads for in-flight entertainment, as opposed to outdated TV systems, the option of organic flight meals, and even a bike rental scheme, BalticBike, the first of its kind.

The chief Executive Officer of airBaltic, Martin Gauss, was very pleased with the news as it is a great opportunity for the business to make itself known. He said, ‘We are very delighted to achieve the high ranking in the Top 10 innovators out of hundreds of airlines throughout the world’. He assured that airBaltic will continue to make interesting business choices for the benefit of their customers.

airBaltic was ranked at number 8 in the Top 10, above AirAsia, which was number 9, and All Nippon Airways, which came in at number 10. The airlines that achieved an even higher rank than airBaltic have not yet been released, but will be revealed one by one until June this year.  This is great news for the airline, as it will help the business grow and become recognised by the hundreds of thousands of tourists who travel each year. With their ‘passionate and energetic’ team, as quoted by Gauss, it looks as though the only way is up for airBaltic.
